On October 8, the mutual recognition arrangement between China and Chile Customs certified operators (AEO) was implemented, so that when exporting goods to Chilean AEO enterprises, Chinese enterprises need to fill in the "Overseas Consignee Code" column in the "Overseas Consignee" section of the export declaration form and the "Consignee AEO Code" column in the water and air cargo manifest respectively. and "Consignee AEO Code" column in the water and air cargo manifest respectively, and fill in the AEO code of Chilean consignee. After confirming the identity of the Chilean AEO enterprise, China Customs will grant relevant facilitation measures.

This is the first customs AEO mutual recognition arrangement officially implemented by China in South America. After the implementation of the mutual recognition arrangement, AEO enterprises of both countries will enjoy a number of convenient measures such as reducing the rate of documentary audit and cargo inspection, speeding up customs clearance, implementing priority inspection, and solving problems encountered by enterprises in customs clearance through the establishment of liaison officers. The time for customs clearance of goods from both sides is expected to be significantly compressed, and trade costs such as port, insurance and logistics will be reduced accordingly.
