What is the difference between a cold laminator and a hot laminator?

2021-05-10 15:15

As per heated temperature, laminators can sort into two types. Namely, cold laminator and hot laminator.

A cold laminator usually refers to laminators that can not be heated or heat by a lower temperature of no more than 60℃.

A hot laminator usually refers to that can be heated to a relatively higher temperature as 120℃ or more. The heat needed depends on the materials and films. In the digital printing industry, 120℃ is enough for almost all situations. In the furniture laminating field, it sometimes needs a temperature of 170℃ or more.

Once you choose a laminator, check your film and material first. It does not correct that "the higher, the better." You shall find a laminator which can offer a suitable temperature for your laminating work.
